The magicJack 2014 just arrived. Watch me unbox it for you in this video below.
I like the smallness of the packaging. It’s set up so that two devices can be packaged together in the same size foam insert, so there may be a special twofer deal at some point in the future. While the packaging is clever, I would like to have seen it be even more environmentally friendly. Foam packaging today can be made of water soluble soy-based foam very similar in protective properties to what is seen here.
The thumbnails below are a lightbox slideshow of closeup details comparing the old magicJack plus with the new 2014 edition.
This is what you’ll get if you order the magicJack via the $30 sale coupon on the computer dialpad while it lasts.
More information may appear here at a later date. Stay tuned!
Please advise how can activate new mjackplus I had bought it to add it to my existing account .
Thanks,
Andy abraham

This is not a comment but a question. I need a sincere opinion or suggestion.
I do not own a magic jack but am planning to buy one; I am confused. A question for you:
If you were to buy one which one would you purchase MagicJack Plus or MagicJack Plus 2014 and why? This information will help me decide.
Thank you,
As of this comment, they are pretty much equal in ability. There are no huge advantages or disadvantages to either. Frankly, I prefer the small compactness of the magicJack 2012. Unless magicJack pulls a rabbit out of its hat fairly soon, I’m going to assume the USB ports and microSDIO ports will never actually become useable. Devices that were supposed to connect to the mJ+ 2014 are still vaporware. The 2012 model costs more, but comes with a year of service. The 2014 model comes with 6 months of service, but costs less. It’s also bigger. Sound quality is about the same. From my own usage and not through any standard testing, I’ve found the 2014 model is slightly more likely to send calls to voice mail before I can answer. For overall price, the 2014 is more cost-efficient, at least for the first 18 months. After that, they’re even. If you find one on sale, get whichever is most cost-effective.
Remember that since you’re in Saudi Arabia, you’ll have to visit friends or family in the United States or Canada to register and activate the device.
Good luck!
